Remembering Beryl Young
Update 22 December
The funeral went very well on Tuesday 17 December as we said goodbye to my mum, Beryl Young.
The family would like to say a few Thank You’s to some people who helped to make this a success:
- Marion McDonald for conducting the services, both at the Crematorium and at the Kirk
- Jackie and Elaine at Laird & McMillan for all their organisation and help through the process
- Steph and her team for their services in driving the funeral cortege
- All the staff at Parkland Hotel and Country Club for making our stay enjoyable
- the Events team at Parklands Hotel for putting on a buffet for everyone with a great selection of sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee plus a drink for all guests on arrival. We overestimated the number of guests, so had plenty of food left over, but the quantity and quality of food was excellent.
The total raised on the day for CHAS, mum’s favourite charity, was £118. Other donations direct to us brought the total to be donated to CHAS to £140, which we very much appreciate and thank all donators for. The following screenshot shows the donation acknowledgement from CHAS:
The Memory Table looked good with the spray of flowers and some photos of Beryl. We appreciate everyone who took the time to write a memory in the Memory Book.
The photo used for the monitor at the Crematorium during the Committal was this one:
The following photo shows the front of the Order Of Service for the Kirk:
As so many people have said, she was "A Lovely Lady".
May she now Rest In Peace.
